ACAR Arts Centre

澳中艺术中心

Opened in 2026, the ACAR Arts Centre is the home of the Australia China Art Residency. This purpose-built space in St Leonards opened its doors with the inaugural 2026 ACAR Art Prize, and now hosts four exhibitions a year alongside an ongoing program of talks, tours and public events.

What’s On

The ACAR Arts Centre presents a rotating program of four exhibitions annually, spotlighting Australian and Chinese artists whose work explores cultural exchange, identity and place. From the landmark ACAR Art Prize exhibition to curated shows throughout the year, the Centre's program reflects ACAR's mission: connecting artists, institutions and communities across two countries.

Exhibitions

Beyond the walls of each exhibition, the Arts Centre hosts a public program designed to deepen engagement with the artists and ideas on show. You can look forward to artist talks, curator-led tours, panel discussions and community events. These programs are open to all and reflect ACAR's commitment to making cross-cultural art accessible to the broader public.
